For over 10 years, I poured my heart into building a boudoir business. I grew a huge online community of over 18,000, helped over 1000 women see themselves differently, and thought I had it all figured out. Then one day—poof. Facebook shut me down. Ten years of hard work, gone in an instant.
At first, I panicked. But then I realized… maybe this was exactly the reset I needed.
Instead of rebuilding the same thing, I decided to expand. To take everything I love about boudoir—the connection, the transformation, the confidence—and merge it with my passion for fine art portraiture, glamour, maternity, family portraits, and branding photography.

Hey, I’m Kristen!
I’ve been a professional photographer for over 15 years, and boudoir will always be my first love — because nothing compares to watching a woman light up when she sees herself the way the rest of us do: powerful, beautiful, and worthy.
Over the years, I’ve worked with more than 900 women and built one of Maine’s most sought-after boudoir studios — complete with curated sets, a 500+ piece client closet (sizes XS–6X, yes really), pro hair + makeup, and same-day image reveals that’ll give you chills.
But after Facebook wiped out my business assets overnight, I realized it was time to expand and reimagine what I offer. Now, Kristen McKay Photo isn’t just boudoir — it’s also fine art portraits, maternity, family, glamour, headshots, and branding.
Because no matter what stage of life you’re in — celebrating a milestone, stepping into motherhood, updating your professional brand, or just wanting to feel damn good in your own skin — I’ve got you. 💁♀️

All you need to know!
Where are you located?
We are located right in downtown Bangor, at 65 State st
Do you have a wardrobe?
Most definitely. Sometimes my clients bring their own outfits, however, I have a full wardrobe of over 450 pieces of lingerie, robes, heels, jewelry, thigh highs, garters, you name it. ALL SIZES FOR ALL WOMEN. Sizes xs to 6x.
Do you provide hair and make-up?
YES! Our stylists provide professional hair and make up
Will you retouch my images?
Most definitely. All of my images are 100% edited and retouched. I provide a magazine-style edit for my clients. All blemishes, stretch marks, color toning, tattoo removal, even bodywork, as far as fixing clothing, uplifting, fixing posture, I take care of anything like that.
Will my images be public?
NO. All images are private and for your eyes only. However, I do have a private Facebook group with women only I do share client-approved work as well as my public Facebook page.
What about posing?
Ladies, you don't need to know the first thing about posing. That's my job, and something I excel at personally. All of our bodies are shaped differently. I flatter your body in the most beautiful way. I have photographed women of all shapes and sizes, and every single one has been BEAUTIFUL! Ladies, you don't need to know the first thing about posing. Can I sign up for a payment plan?
We only do Pre-session payment plans. These are super easy to do! Not only does it ease the stress off of you prior to your session, but it also allows you to come in just ENJOY your session! I go over all of this with you on the phone. Booking out as far as we do this makes it very feasible
